The new Genshin Impact version, "Interlude of the Lunar Hymn," is set to launch on December 3. This update revolves around the new 5-star character, Durin, bringing multiple additions including character, system, storyline, and event updates.
Durin: The Reborn Dragon
Reborn through Albedo's alchemy, the 5-star Pyro swordsman Durin is not the calamity-bringing dragon of Mondstadt's past, but a new life fused from a pure soul and a dragon's heart. As seen in his character PV "A Letter Home," we witness a Durin who interacts warmly with the people of Mondstadt—his tail stiffens when startled, and his wings flutter unconsciously when happy, details that reveal a childlike innocence. As the PV shows, if one were to write a "Mondstadt Lifestyle Guide," Durin's version would be truly unique. He observes the world from his own unique perspective, firmly believing it is a wonderful place.
His distinctive "Dragonkin" nature grants him a unique dual-combat stance design:
White Dragon Stance: Leans towards team support, capable of leaving a Pyro Whirlwind on the field to continuously apply Pyro for teammates, and can lower enemy Pyro RES and corresponding elemental RES, creating an optimal environment for team damage output.
Black Dragon Stance: Focuses on powerful damage, summoning a Corrosive Dragon's Shadow to slam the ground with its claw, especially excelling at dealing significant damage to single targets. In this stance, he significantly boosts the damage of Vaporize and Melt reactions triggered by himself, resulting in astonishing bursts of damage.

Arcanum Awakening: Character System Update
With Durin's arrival, eight characters connected to the "Hexenzirkel" (Durin, Venti, Klee, Albedo, Mona, Razor, Fischl, Sucrose) will, upon completing the "Witch's Assignments" issued by Alice, unlock as «Arcanum Characters», gaining new abilities and adjusted Constellation effects. When at least two Arcanum Characters are in the party, the "Arcanum Rite" resonance will trigger, significantly enhancing the party's overall combat strength.
4-Star Support: Yaksha Joins
The new 4-star Anemo bow user Yaksha will also debut as a healing-focused character. With her excellent group healing and elemental absorption capabilities, she provides stable sustain support for the team.
Lunar Narrative: Storyline & Events
The version's story will unfold in the Nord-Krei region, where players will participate in the "Night of Lunar Prayers" festival and investigate the "Phantom" phenomena appearing in the area alongside Yaebeid, Durin, and the Wanderer. As Alice and Nicole Rene appear,intelligence about Teyvat's unstable borders will also come to light. Completing the latest Archon Quest will reward 500 Primogems.
Snowbound Return & Creative Update
The seasonal event "Trail of the Snow-Pioneer" will lead players back to Dragonspine. Participate in mini-games to obtain rewards including the exclusive 4-star weapon "Rainbow Serpent's Rainbow Bow." The UGC module "Mirage of Milialath" will also be updated, adding a "Mirage Resource Center" for easy sharing of player-created content and opening a winter-themed main hall for players to explore.
